Virtual Brick Crack Inside Firep: A DIY Guide to Repair It
the thick "brick" wall provides visual access to the firep's contents. depending on the state of the firep and what's going on in the user interface, this portion of the interface may be split up into multiple levels. for example, the basic type form will only be visible on the first level of the firep (the top-most part). on the second level, one can see the "type" and "value" fields. on the third level, one can see the "doc" field.

i purchased this box a while back and have been using it as a toy. in the box it is much smaller than it looks in the picture. the metal ring is very nicely machined and assembled. it is quite easy to move the ball inside the ring. i've tried it with different size balls (and when i say different i mean smaller and larger) and it has a nice firm and tight fit around the ball.
the only problem i've had with it is that when the ball gets too hot it will pop out of the ring. this is not a big deal for me though because i make sure i only use this for burning to death. i was thinking of making some sort of small mesh rack inside the ring that the ball could rest on to keep it cool. if anyone out there has any ideas for that please tell me. i'd be interested in hearing them.
